So I've noticed that over the course of creating content for our current project (PC title) that the XACT auditioning utility has been setting the sample rate on my soundcard at 48000 Hz. Not really a big deal as I figured it was perhaps just a quirk with the utility itself, and I could easily reset the sample rate back to 41000 Hz on my soundcard afterward.
However, it caught my attention today that our current build of the game is doing the same thing to my soundcard. The game works fine etc. but I do have a concern about the game doing this as it could potentially cause problems for other applications a user may be running on his/her machine. Not sure if this is something I should bring to the attention to the audio programmer or if I've somehow missed a "Settings" dialogue within XACT to set the sample rate.
Thanks for your time.
