How does Directx read a .X mesh file?

When reading point coordinates from a .X file, does directx read first coordinate as spatial X, second as spatial Y and third as spatial Z, or does it make any change?

    (just to confirm)

    Thanks

    Answer
All the mesh coordinates should be in local space, any changes will more than likely be done by the editor you're using.

Confirmed. Directx reads .X file coordinates without any variation.

There is one one thing, if you're loading the animation data manually then you might have to negate the (x,y,z) values of a quaternion, if you don't then the rotations might be reversed since quaternions are right-handed.
