    DX 10 Books

What good books are there on DirectX 10. I personnally would like a book which is similiar to the OpenGL-red book in style (i.e not  a book attempting to learn one to write games)

Beginning DirectX 10 game programming / Jones, Wendy. is a good reference.  It targets unmanaged C++ and has a CD with compilable samples for each chapter.

Going from DX9 to DX10 for me is a big leap.  The device creation is totally different IMO and has little caveats that you should be aware of.  I know you didnt want something games oriented, but, this is a good reference none the less.

Lets type the title into google and see:

Sadly there are even places to download it but PLEASE don't - the authors put a lot of time into the book and their $$ per copy is not high. So go buy it and don't torrent....

How focused is the book on game programming?
Is it one big tutorial-like book.
Does it cover what a good DirectX9 developer would like to see?
