(I am writing this as I shouldn't write the post I want to write.... As I would like to ask when DBP is going to kick off).

(Which is almost as bad as asking "What should I do first to create my mmorpg/fps cross over?".)

Anyhoo, on with the real topic...

My guess is sometime this week (maybe Thursday).  I am still slogging away on my warmup entry, hoping that a game will emerge at some point!

pps.. Am I the only one who does the daily check of the forum, desperatly hoping for some sign the competition is about to kick off?

Meand my friend heard about this contest…and it’s one of the reasons we started to learn XNA…as I heard some of the prizes offer some sort of interview/sponsorship with various game companies like rare?(question mark as I am not 100% sure that is true, or just a rumor I heard)  Regardless….we are doing the best we can to learn XNA and build a 3D plat former.

However I doubt we will enter in this round as we still have a lot of work to do  : ( . Maybe next time we will have enough xna under our belts to go forth and enter in

DBP 1.0 warmup had cash prizes if I remember correctly

DBP 1.0 had prizes of software, hardware, cash and potentially XBLA publishing contracts

DBP 2.0 warmup was:

• $3,000 stipend and expo passes to the 2008 Game Developers Conference
• Interviews for internships at Microsoft Research, Lionhead Studios and Rare Ltd.
• 1-year subscription to the XNA Creators Club

DBP 2.0 is ???????????

I imagine it'll be announced sometime before I die.

And I would LOVE to be working on my game right now, but I have been captured by several terrorist organizations working together known as "School" (not the good one where they make you learn stuff, the bad one where they waste your time) and "Real Life."

I'm posting this from school, so meh.
