im trying to add a new ship model to ship game, i have it in .fbx and every thing is cool, but i have to change the content processor property to
Model - ShipGame Normal Mapping, but there is no option for that in the content processor, here are my options:
Model-XNA Framework
Effect- XNA Framework
Sprite font texture-XNA Frameworksprite font description-XNA Frameworktexture-XNA FrameworkXACT project-XNA Framework
no processing required
but no normal mapping!
well, i am reading off of the ship game- adding new content word document located on this site, when i export the model to fbx i have to do alot of crap, direct from the doc:
Use the following
settings with the Autodesk FBX plug-in.

Under Export, place a check in the Geometry check box – all other check boxes
in the section should not be checked.

Under Misc, place a check in the Export to ASCII format check box.
·
Under Misc, set Export to version to “FBX20611.”
·
Under Coordinate and Unit Conversion, set Conversion Method to None.
well, this dude was usin 3ds max 6, im using 2009, he was usin the fbx exporter verssion 2006.11.1 is not compatible with that version
, and im using the fbx exporter v 2009, which is alot different, and i couldnt find almost any of thise options, but i did make it to ASCII.
Is that maybe whats causing the problem!?
please help!!
