    DirectPlay game website implementation

Msn zone has stopped supporting these games, however there are tons of games still out there with some still being sold.

I have requested information on this to no avail, I know alot of gamers would love to know how to have a site or server to support some of these games. You would think that Msn Zone would be more than happy to let others have this information so someone could set up a free gaming site , but noooo they would rather let the games die.

If anyone knows where the information is available I would be greatfull, and I am sure the other gamers would be also.

Putting up a web site is simple, so there is some other information you think you need to provide a given service. What is that information, and what is the specific service that you want to provide?

I'm completely guessing here, but I would assume MSN zone servers have (had) tons of different software items installed specifically built to provide that service.  Basically you're asking Microsoft to give you their server information.  It would be similar to them stopping production on the Xbox and games and then requesting they send you a Xbox dev kit.

Not really, what I am asking however is how people on a web site can use directplay to launch a game they want to play.

The zone used to provide this, you could go into a room for one game click on ready and the moderator could launch the game without having to give out IP addresses.

Since the zone does not provide this anymore, I didnt see what the problem would be in asking how to achieve this.

Espessially since there are many people still playing those games I thought there would be no harm in asking, I doubt that the zone will ever resurect the directplay lobbies again.
