The membership is 12 months trial in XNA creators club according to the xbox memberships tab.

Is is just a trial, like the Dreamspark one.
Trial means that you get the ability to deply your games on your local Xbox, but you don't get the premium content, or the Community Games functionality. For those, you need a real subscription.

That's not true. I redeemed my "trial" through DreamSpark and I was able to get the "premium" content w/o any problems. It just seems now the site doesn't allow you to get any of these items and to add if you are given the ability to deploy to your xbox then you "should" have the ability to grab these games to review as well. IMHO this is kinda ....... <fill in the blank>

That was a bug back then then. The DreamSpark and friends trail memberships were intended to allow local deployment only. And the <fill in the blank> has been discussed in these very forums ad infimum already.
