    Viewing reviews by non-members.

Just a suggestion, but it would be nice if us non-members could read the existing reviews on currently submitted games.  I plan on joining in the next few months, but it would be very helpful to see what kind of feedback the existing games are getting now.  I'm very new to game development, and I'm sure there are many, many things I'm just not aware of that may cause problems with my games.  This would allow all up-and-coming members to work out more kinks and maybe save some time and frustration before they submit their games.

Also, maybe this is already available somewhere, and if so, please let me know:  It would be very helpful to have a specific, yet basic, set of guidelines or rules to follow when developing games for the xbox, using XNA.  Things like suggested frame rate, shader support, resolution support, etc...

    Thoughts?

There are no 'reviews' that give feedback. The only opportunity to give comments is when something fails and that is sent anonymously to the submitter. Right now the service is all about distribution and minimal rating - Microsoft don't want the reviewers involved in subjective reviews. So unless it crashes badly frame rate, bad AI etc are all off limits.

I know the MS guys are collecting some of that information and stuff from these forums to provide a sort of check list for people to look at, though there's no announced date for this.

In the meantime we have a forum with a post for each game where we give feedback on positive and negative things. Lots of us also post our fail reasons (and then debate them) in there  http://forums.xna.com/forums/73.aspx
