    Sharing games without a membership

    Hi

How can I share the games (poor as they are) I make if  I don't have either an Xbox Live Gold or a XNA Creators Club membership?

    Thanks

You can package them as a ccgame (look in the XNA help files for the directions on how to do that) and then post them to a server somewhere. Then just let people know about them for download. If you are going to have several games, feel free to start a single thread here to announce them, but just keep making new announcements to the same thread.

    Thanks for replying.

Well here is my game, its not very good but i'm pleased with it as a first game. If you do download it, please tell me what you think of it.

Re: Sharing games without a membership

I just gave it a quick try and it's a great job for your first game! I like how you added the instruction screens and defined the controls you use. I wish more people started out took the time to make a complete game like this. It's extremely beneficial and speaks highly of you. The only suggestion I would make is that I would change the color of the line and dot to help indicate the current player. When the lines are drawn they can all be the same color, but it just would visually help remind people that it's the next players turn. You do change the text to indicate the current players turn, but another visual indicator would be nice.

Other than that, I have to see it's a very nicely put together game. Simple, easy to play and complete. Nicely done.

Thank you very much! I shall make the change you have suggested shortly and reupload it.

So a stupid question but how would you get the games from this server onto your Xbox 360?

Could you burn them to disk?

Or is there another way of doing it that I'm not aware of?

I keep getting an error that your game is experiencing a problem and has to close...?

Anyone know how to fix that.

Download the .ccgame file to your local machine

Then if you have XNA Game Studio installed AND a Creators club membership (trial is fine), you go to your xbox and choose XNA Connect. When it says 'waiting for computer' you open the .ccgame file and it will deply to the xbox. Then in your games list on the xbox you will see the game and can run it.
