    Screen Resolution issues for DBP

    NIGHTMARE!

So I'm building my game for the DBP, I built the alpha in 1024x768 and didn't know about "safe area" so I deployed it and the edges were chopped and it was kinda blurry.

Okay, lesson learned...moved on to the Beta.

The Beta is up and running and looks great...on my computer...in native 1280x720 which all these posts seem to indicate is the happening resolution for xbox deployment.  I had my nifty safe area code showing me where my title safe and text safe area was and I was coding away like a happy camper.  Today I deployed onto the xbox...and it looks terrible.  All the graphics are blurry and the xbox letterboxed it even though I have an HDTV that runs up to 1080i.  I have the xbox on the highest setting possible.

    wtf?

I'm hoping one of you Wile E Coyote supra-geniuses can tell me I'm not totally pooched....

Did you set the PreferredBackBufferWidth and PreferredBackBufferHeight values before creating your graphics device?

    I'm an idiot...

I have a separate profile for my XNA account and in that profile I was still running 480i.  Set up it in 720p and it's beautiful....oh...so...beautiful...
