    Online Gameplay Support

Does XBL Community Games have any sort of hosting provided for games with online content, or do the creators need to provide that?

That's not what I meant.  I'm asking if there's hosting available for online multiplayer and the like.

What kind of hosting do you think you need? If you mean a dedicated server, you can set up a your game to run as client/server and simply set up a box to act as the server, but that's about it. Microsoft isn't providing any sort of dedicated servers for any games or anything like that.

That being said, if you are just talking about standard Matchmaking, then it is totally possible without you having to pay for a server.

    Check out these samples.
