    Developers buying their own game...

When a game is submitted, does the developer have to buy the game to actually play it too, or do they get a free copy?

Just deploy your own game to your own xbox surely ? why would you need to go through the market place to play your own game

If your game isn't already on your 360 then it never should have been submitted, because it hasn't been tested.

However what you two both failed to realize is your locally deployed copy is not networkable with the XBLCG version. Therefore there is a good reason to get a copy for yourself. Perhaps the creator's get a free version, but this hasn't been talked about before. I'd say go add a Connect suggestion on it and hope they can put it in.

Hmmm, why wouldn't it be? Has that actually been tried or did one of the GS team say that?

Yes. It was said by Shawn a while back (I don't recall what thread) that games submitted are assigned new GUIDs and may or may not have additional requirements to pair up. So your locally deployed game will not network with the XBLCG version, nor will a PC version of your game pair up with the XBLCG version.

Yeah this is what I was thinking would probably happen.

Shame you can't network between PC and Xbox though, had an idea for a small game that would utilise this :(

I filed the suggestion on Connect: https://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=363173&SiteID=226 so hopefully we'll see this added at some point (preferably sooner rather than later).
