Support not developer-dependant for users question

I'd like to know the site we should use to redirect users that can have problems.

We can write some advices like "you need to sign-in with a Live Gold account for 1st player, and sign-in other players as guest" and things like that, but we as developers can't put technical information, like the ports to open in routers and others, because that information can change at any time and is Microsoft dependant.

We only can put info like "Visit http://www.xbox.com/ for technical information", but I don't know if that url is the one for technical information as I usually use google and then I directly link to MS support pages, and see that these support pages can change too, for that we need a main url to redirect users looking for Xbox technical information.

We can't too write things like "search in google for information", it could be our death.

XBLCG apps are exaclty the same as XBLA games... there's nothing special about the networking or hardware.

On the Xbox things should just work - any ports that need opening etc will be handled by people doing the XBL tester and calling XBL support.

I dont see any XBLA games worrying about this, so I don't think we need to either.. Where were you going to put this anyway? In the game?

    www.xbox.com

This is the place where users should be directed to for all things Xbox that can't be explained in the game. You don't need to hold hands for the user and help him find anything he might need, that's not the job of the Creators Club games or their creators.

See also Marketplace, many (if not all) DLC descriptions end with "see xbox.com for more details" without giving a specific URL for that particular DLC. You either find the info from the start page, or you don't. In the latter case, this is more the fault of the page's designers than the user's and it's certainly not something that you need or should worry about.
