Hi all,
I've been a software engineer now for almost 10 years. I've done development work on various Windows projects ranging from Recruitment Agency databases to Labelling software. I've got experience in most of the current languages, Visual C++, VB, VB.NET C# and have finally come to rest in the C# fold. Most of the work I've done has been on Windows software but I'm looking to cut my teeth and get into some game programming projects. I've got a few ideas of my own, but I'm hoping I can sign on as a C# developer for someone elses project so that I can gain experience and knowledge.
I've been playing around with a few of the starter kits and am currently following a series of tutorials on Game Engine development using XNA. So I'm beginning to get an idea of what can be done. I'd only be able to work evenings on such a project as I'm fully employed and don't intend to give up the day job just yet! ;-) If anyone is looking for an extra set of hands and is willing to let a XNA Padawan have a crack at helping out, then please drop me a line.
Be warned, I am developing on a 6 year old rig as I cannot afford to upgrade it yet. I think my graphics card only supports Pixel Shader 1.1, which is a bit of a pain. So please bear that in mind if you're still interested. Unless of course you wish to donate to help me upgrade! ;-)
I hope I can be of assistance to some one out there. If not, good luck to you all and I'll see you on the other side.
Thanks,
Graham Douglas
