The ZMan: if people are forced to get 7 credits to submit then they are going to do even more half-assed reviewes. I can get my 7 reviews done in 7 minutes
What if the credit were 'given' by the reviewee, not automatically by the system? So it had a human component.
Once a game is approved, what's the reviewee's motivation to reward the reviewers? I can see many people not bothering with this after their game is reviewed. Additionally, what if someone gives you a review you deem not worthwhile and you don't give them a credit... they may not be willing to review you next time.
It gets way too messy trying to impliment something like that. I think ultimately we're just going to have to relly on people here making a good faith effort to review/playtest games, gimicy solutions are not going to work.
I'm going to try and playtest a few games this week to do my part.
Ya, but by that time, they will of had to have reviewed at least 7 games to get their game to review, that's the point. If they leave forever, they are done, but they've already given back some. You have to have these credits to get your game into review. You can be a complete selfish d bag after that.
A lot of forums have buttons like 'helpful' or 'solved' next to a posters post that the thread creator can click and the posters 'helpful' quotient goes up by one for example.
