Has microsoft picked this title or is this a different one?

EDIT: Nevermine this is a different game. Here is a link to more info on it. One of you guys should change names :) I was confused there for a second.

    The games are different.
And I will change the name (that's why I said it's Working Title), but I only found out about the other game a few days before submission, and I was too swamped with adding levels and polishing, and my name-creativity was not very good. So I decided to leave it as a working title.

I just hope this doesn't bring trouble.

P.S: can someone from Microsoft tell me if this will bring trouble, and if I should try and change the name and upload it again? Although, knowing the amount of trouble I had updating the first time, I hope this is not the case.

I really enjoyed this, it's an interesting new take on that type of puzzle game.  I loved the idea of completing a sequence of d-pad moves to 'claim' the pedestals.  You don't allow much time for it though!  I struggled a bit with the left, up, down, left, right, down, up, right ones (I think that's right) but I think if you allowed a bit more time then it'd be fine.

    Cheers,

    Glad you enjoyed it.

d-pad? The Right Stick is used. :)

Some of the symbols are indeed difficult (especially the ones I call Clover (that's the one you tried describing) and Flower).
And lots of balancing can ,should, and will be done, of course. But what's a game without a little struggle :)

I'm sure I used the left stick to copy the symbols!  I'll need to try that again now, I must be going mad.

Hang on, so did you do Butterfly Garden and Dream Sower?  That's a bit scary.  Have you been working on your own or part of a team?

    Cheers,

The name of the game was changed to Butterfly Paradise, to avoid legal issues,  and it is uploading to the contest site.

Hey, Catalin, finally got around to playing this over the weekend.  It's quite an improvement over the original and, in particular, I like that controlling the butterfly is much easier.  I'm not 100% sold on the new control scheme for changing colors using the right-stick, but maybe I just need to play it more to get used to it.  It is original, so you get points for that.

BTW, have you noticed that you can't have both Butterfly Garden and Dream Sower loaded on the same Xbox?  I *think* that Xbox games are stored based on the assembly's GUID, so I think that they must both be using the same GUID -- as if you had created the project file for one of them and then used a copy of it for the other one.  Of course, the last time I made an assumption like this I was horribly wrong, so it could well be something else.  ;-)

Anyway, I hope you don't mind that, of the two, I'm keeping Dream Sower loaded for now!  :-D

You're right... I didn't notice this, and was puzzled when the games kept recopying all their files.
It is the GUID, since the underlying base engine started from a common framework.
I will change the GUID in mine.
Hopefully, this won't affect the judging.

Until then, fel free to play Dream Sower. But please give Butterfly Paradise a try from time to time :)

Yes, the controlling does get a while to get used to, but I thought: if I have the runes unlocking using right stick gestures, maybe I should make the whole game consistent with this type of control. (For example, in the Level select or Mode select, you can cycle through the options using Clockwise Circle Gesture and Counter Clockwise Circle Gesture. I didn't let this be the only option, since I wanted the players to at least get in the game quick, before getting used to the strange controls. That why those menus can be controled with the d-pad also)
Thanks for letting me know about the GUID problem. And you were right about the project file :)

I uploaded the game with a new GUID.

However, It still have the old name, since the version with the new name in the menus is not on this computer, and I can't access it for a week.
