Hello all,

I started a while ago my first project, and I currently have a few levels of the game working. I have a few questions.

First off, should I make a website for my games (I'm an idiot in web design lol, any direction here?)?
How will many people be able to see it?

Also, I'm obviously going to make videos of gameplay and features, but I remembered seeing a section of XBLCC videos at gametrailers.com and IGN, how will I get my video to be published there, other than the option of submit user video?

Is there any other way I can get the most people to hear about my game?

Yes, you should create a website for your game, they are so easy to make nowadays, that it almost seems stupid not to make one.  If money is a problem there are even free places that will host your site.  While they may not be great, they are better than nothing.  Just search google for 'free web hosting'…

As for getting the word out, there are many things you can do.  For professional websites like GameTrailers.com always check the small boring links at the bottom of the page, that is where you can find information on contacting them about including your trailers and such.

This forum is also a great place to find information, if you are willing to spend some time searching.  Other people here have asked similar questions before, just search for it.

With so many smaller games starting to hit the Community Games System any type of marketing you can do will help to promote your game. As far as web sites, you could just use a simple blog site (And there are plenty of free ones out there) or go ito a full site.
