XNA Game Studio Connect - Update Failed

    Hi all,

After attempting to run XNA Game Studio Connect today, I received a (XBOX pop-up) notification saying that the program needed to be updated. I did. Then after running it again, a splash screen appeared indicating that the program still needs updating. I followed the instructions on the page (deleting old version, downloading again). However when I ran the newly downloaded program it still gives me the screen saying it needs updating. I even tried deleting, power cycling the XBOX, downloading, and running, but I continue to get the "Update Required" screen.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

You teasers :( I just want to see my Avatar clap!

Glad it's not just me - the dashboard seems to be *very*slow today. Anytime I do anything near Community Games it's like my internet connection is a 56k modem. Everything is fine from the PC.

I have noticed that all MS sites (xna forums, msdn, xbox.com) have been *very* slow the last few days. Doesn't seem to affect any other sites - trying to fgure out if it's a problem on Microsoft's side of my ISP (Sky). Anyone else noticing this? It's quite obvious, the forum pages are painfully slow :(

Bummer:( It only started happening about 3 days ago. I've tried kicking the router, but no joy. Hope it resolves itself soon, it's taking 2-3 minutes to load pages from MS! :(

Where are you? I'm on the east coast - maybe it's being propagated at different speeds to different places?

Looks likeit's definately an MS problem, not my ISP. Found lots of other people (across many different ISPs) are having the same problem:

The whole Xbox marketplace is crazy slow. It's taking over 60 seconds to load a games info when I choose it. It might only be the UK having this problem. I hope Microsoft are aware of it :(

I'm getting the same error code and I'm on east coast (USA). Just thought I'd share.

Downloaded fine here too (also UK). File size showed as 25MB instead of 15MB this time.

    Just a note:

The update for the old version is only a new screen that tells you to delete it and re-download it. So don't bother with that step.
