Are Dream-Build-Play entries required to have a widescreen version?

The title basically says it all: Are Dream-Build-Play entries required to have a widescreen version? If you aren't required to have a widescreen version, will a game's judge rating benefit/suffer by having/not having a widescreen version? The problem is that with my game I had the artist create the background to specifically fit the 4:3 aspect ratio and so if I have him make a version of the background that works with 16:9 it'll change the gameplay. Of course I could also just add extra junk in place of the black bars on the sides but that would just be a waste. I could also stretch and crop the background a bit to make it fit the 16:9 but that changes the gameplay a bit as well. Anyway, any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It is recommended to have a native widescreen version because most judges (if not all) are on HDTV ,but I dont think its a requirement. If it'll be a big problem to convert to 16:9 then just check resolutions and add borders or stretch backbuffer when necessary.
Anyway the game should *work* at least on 1280*720 and 1920*1080 settings. Having support for more resolutions is a plus ,and watch out for the 10-20% outer borders of the screen ,some displays cannot display it ,avoid rendering important text/stuff there.
    Hope this helps.
