I have just gotten through the 4th chapter of the 3d tutorial (drawing the terrain), and while I have successfully drawn the 3d terrain, mine looks much darker, to the point of looking wrong, than the way the terrain looks in the tutorial video.
I loaded up the provided source code at the bottom of the tutorial chapter and found that the terrain there also looked too dark.
Is there a way to "tint" models like you can 2d sprites? Is there something else that should be done? I'm guessing the problem might be some sort of strange hardware/software incompatibility, but I'm using fairly windows-friendly equipment so I don't know why that would be the case.
I'm using windows 7. . . . any suggestions for the cause of unusually dark models? Anything more I should mention?
Thanks.
