    Game-Pad.net Reviews your games!!

I know theres already a few of these here but I thought I would put my input in too. I run a Gaming Community site called Game-Pad.net which offer a relaxing mature place for gamers to hang out, with latest news, reviews, a podcast, ventrillo server and more. We've been open 2 months now but in that time have almost had an interview with a game developer every week from Ninjabee (Band of Bugs, Kingdom for Keflings), to Codeglue (Rocket Riot), to Introversion (Darwinia, Defcon) to the XNA Developers on EzMuze+ Hamst3r Edition.

We are also featured in the monthly calender of Official Xbox Magazine UK on September 1st.

With the token system now in place, and our love for indie developers & games on the site we are offering the ability to send a token for myself to personally review the game. My name is Charles - so please by all means check out what I've already written. Not only that but the game could possibly get a mention in our podcast (Episode 2 coming ASAP!), and also if we love it that much it has the chance to get on our Featured Slideshow at the top of the front page, and maybe even become our featured game (we've already had one game do this). Also if a developer wants to offer tokens for a competition to us by all means we would absolutely love that! Or maybe even a couple for another reviewer other than myself to check out the game and give their second opinion on it.

If you want any more info just head on over to the site, drop me a line at mailing@game-pad.net, or add me on XBL - Lucifonz.

Hope to hear from you soon and thanks in advance for any interest :)

Note - Xbox Live Indie Game reviews are currently closed for submission on the site until January/February 2010  time. I will keep this thread updated as to when we re-open our doors for this. We apologise for any inconvenience but we simply don't have the manpower and time in such a busy season to get them done ontop of other titles! However please don't hestitate to contact us with any project information, screenshots, videos or press releases. All the best :)

Hi guys, i'm Co-Founder of Game-Pad.net and just thought i'd drop by personally and say that the response we've had from the Indie Developer Community in less than 24 hours has been mind blowing, I know Lucifonz has been having some serious hands on with alot of the Indie games and will be reviewing them personally, so keep an eye on the site!

First review is now up for Wordzy - check it out! The response so far has been absolutely overwhelming, so thanks to those that have got in touch. More reviews will be popping up over the coming week. Just to clarify:

With 1 token I myself will personally try review the game (Gamertag: Lucifonz, Known as ‘Chaz’ on the site for articles/reviews)

With 2 tokens I will review the game and will also hand one to another reviewer to provide their second opinion - unless developer specifies second token is for a competition prize.

With any surplus tokens we will use these as prizes for a competition, which said competition can of course be specified by the developer.

If anyone wants anymore information or just wants to get in touch dont hesitate to contact me on Xbox Live, E-Mail us, or visit the site.

    Re: Game-Pad.net Reviews your games!!

    Hi everyone,

Sadly we are having to close our Indie Reviews offer for a short period of time due to an overwhelming response from developers to review their titles. We are currently plodding our way through a backlog of Indie Reviews and hope to have them finished by Xmas. However there is also a lot of large retail games out this holiday season which we need to dedicate a solid amount of time to review, and therefore cannot guarantee that we have the time to take on more Indie Game Reviews.

Apologies to those who have contacted us that we have had to turn down. As I've said in these E-Mails I cannot guarantee a time that we'll be able to take on more reviews. Keep watching this space though, as soon as we clear the backlog and get the time I'll update this thread straight away.

Thanks to all the developers who have got in touch we really do appreciate it. Feel free to contact us regarding any press releases in the timebeing and what not as we are constantly updating the site with news and will be happy to publish these.

Note - Our indie review section will reopen. This is just temporary!
