    UK: Non-tax-payer

Ok, so I've been wracking my brains over this 'claiming payment' - now whilst I realise that having not submitted a game (and not even being a premium member) I'm a long way off from earning anything, I'd like to explain my situation a little, and hopefully someone may be able to shed some light on the subject for me.

I've been doing little MODs and 3D Model Art for a little over 3 years, and discovered XNA about 6 months ago, not having an XBOX360, I made a few little games for the PC, but mainly I've kept myself to myself, and just developed things for the PC for the sake of learning.

I've recently turned 18, have an XBOX360, and I've been working on a project that I'm quite fond of for some time (PC-Based nearly ready for the XBOXInput code), and I'd like to step up to Premium and submit some content, and if all goes well, by the end of a Quarter, I may even have become entitled to some Royalties, but this is my problem, I'm a College student, and not earning anything, therefore I'm not a Taxpayer.

I've looked over the relevant W8 form and I'm confident in understanding that, however, when the time comes to submit my PII with the W8, I just don't have any clue as to my ITIN, as:

    A) Here in the UK we have either a National Insurance Number or a Unique Taxpayer Reference Number (I think)

    and

    B) I'm not required to pay Tax here in the UK due to my lack of income

So there's my problem, is there a system that I just can't seem to find here for those of us 18 Years of Age or Older, who aren't paying Tax?

Thank you very much to anyone who devotes some time into helping me with this issue.

The HM Revenues and Customs website is a good place to learn about UK tax.
