    XNA Course or Workshop?

    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know of a course/workshop in the southeastern US area?  I am a C# developer but would like a hands on course since I am so unfamiliar with game development.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I've never seen any actually physical classes. Back in the day one complany tried to do a Managed DirectX class and had to cancel becuae they didn't get enough attendees.

There is a DVD class http://www.3dbuzz.com/xcart/product.php?productid=52&cat=13&page=1 but I don't know how up to date they keep it

I am in Nashville TN but I am willing to drive if it is a workshop or a class that only lasts a few days.

Ok well I think Val Tech (Valdosta, GA) has some programming classes here, but I don't know how long they are.

I attended a meeting with a small group of guys looking to start an XNA user group here in Nashville, but it never really materialized. I still code as a hobby and would really like to see something happen here in Nashville. It's a Dot.Net town!

If you need some help getting a user group going drop me an email... there's several folk out there who have done this multiple times and can help you with how to get going.

And I can give some great advice on what *NOT* to do...  I'm becoming an expert at how to forget to schedule user group meetings, make announcements, etc. Some people just aren't meant to run user groups...  I know some people though that ROCK at starting them and keeping them going. They just don't happen to be me :)
