Guitar causing xbox sign in?

    Guitar causing xbox sign in?

    Hi,

    I have been failed in review today because of a repeated sign in loop.  Now i dont actually force a player to sign in at all in my game which leads me to think that its the xbox forcing a sign in.  I just let the player use any control they choose with out signing in.  Now the test that was made was with a guitar (no profile) on #1, pad (no profile) on #2, pad (CC profile) on #3. Pad 3 was used to play the game.

    I dont understand why this would have caused the xbox to make the player sign in.  Is this problem a fail because i feel its the players mistake that they ran the game without the sign in requirements of an Indy game.  The xbox is forcing a sign in and the player should sign in. 

    I have gone through the evil check list to make sure my game abides and am confused why this has happened.

    After recieving more instructive repo steps its not the guitar thats to problem.

    The only thing that we know of that guitars can do is activate the right thumbstick unexpectedly (whammy bar and tilt). So unless you have code in there thata looks at that you should be fine. This is mentioned in the evil checklist though.

    Otherwise you should be able to repro this with regular controllers that are logged in in the same way.

    Forcing a sign in is annoying to many of us, but its not a fail reason.

    Are you saying that even though it does force a sign in on a control and doesn't let you play untill you do, i shouldn't have been failed for this?

    I am fixing the problem, just want to know if i have been failed unfairly?

    Edit:

    If i have been failed unfairly, can anything be done to stop this fail.  If not its not a problem, just need to know so i can cancel the review now if need be.

    It takes more than one fail to get your game failed.  So, if you think you were unfairly failed, you can mention that in your thread and hope that other reviewers will agree and not fail you for the same reasons.

    EDIT: I just looked at your game thread.  That particular issue is a fail point and should be fixed.

    As long as it's only forcing a sign in on the controller the player is using.  If they have to pick up another controller to sign it in, that's a fail.

    Okay, they have to pick up another controller to sign it in.

    So i'll remove it from review. 

    Its always that one line of code that evades you. So frustrating haha
