XNA chat going strong after announcement on Ziggyware

After it was announced on Ziggyware yesterday, XNAchat.com has had a new insurgence of developers! Check it out if you haven't already, we'd be glad to see you there.

    [edit]
Some people were asking so I'll put it here:
The signup allows you to have a little profile listing the games you've made (or working on) or your website / blog /whatever. These items will soon support http links. The profile also allows you to display what country you're from and your name (as opposed to your creator's club tag). This helps a lot in knowing who people are and being connected.

The email is just for forgotten password retreival (there's no email validation). If you don't trust the site, just put in a bogus email address :)
Creed Arena is now in review. Fight other gladiators in a futuristic arena. Check it out now!

Finally, a chat site for XNA devs. Kick back and chat with fellow Creator's Club members on XNA Chat!

I entered the room and was almost bowled over by the amount of people in it! :)

That's cool :) Unfortunately I haven't been able to get in for a few weeks (at work, at least)... kicks me back out immediately with an "invalid IP" error. Some kind of compatibility issue with our proxy, I imagine.

Any reason you require registering? I know this makes me sound like the most lazy person, but I'd probably have jumped in at some point if I could just type in a nickname and go, but once I realize I have to sign up, I just decide it's not worth the effort.

Probably to prevent people stealing other people's names.

I thought so too, but there's no email validation or anything, you just register and that's it.

I don't think that is a requirement.  I decided to take the risk today and try it out and I wasn't required to do anything but provide basic info.  The only thing I was hesitent about was my email address, but so far I haven't gotten any extra spam =)

I've just added the ability to put links on your games in your profile. Lots of people were asking for this and I thought it was a good idea.

If you already have an account, just log in and click the "Update Profile" link up the top. You'll see a url box next to each game box where you can paste a url.

Potentially you could put a blog or website link in there too if you wanted.

    Enjoy!

Any further thoughts about allowing non-premium members to join?  As someone mentioned, why not have them look up a word in the FAQ?

That was changed quite some time ago I believe. Didn't have to look up anything to join.
