    Making a demo reel

I didn't know where to post this so I hope it's the right place.  Does anyone know the best way to capture live footage from a demo you've written?  It seems to me like you don't need a capture card but maybe I'm wrong.  Any software anyone can recommend?

Camtasia also has a DX recording option these days that seems decent if you already happen to have a copy of that.

Fraps is what most people use and is very reasonably priced for what it does - make sur eyou buty it - there is nothing more tacky than a demo reel with the shareware message on all your videos.

If you want to capture from the 360 then you will have to go with a hardware capture solution.

I personally use the camtasia option and find that it meets all my needs.

I personally have always found HyperCam to be the best screen capture software. In my experience (and I've tried the Fraps demo and had a Camtasia license at one point), HyperCam is vastly easier to use and even gets better frame rates during captures.
