    Numeric Transform Entry Problem

I'm having an issue in the mod tool with the numeric entry under the transform panel. I'm new to xsi so it could just be something I'm doing wrong, but I thought I'd see if anyone else here has run into this or knows where I'm going wrong.

Initially the problem I was having was that I couldn't translate object components using the numeric input. I type a number in, press enter, and then it just goes back to the previous value. If I use the manipulator and drag with the mouse in the viewport the value changes, but it doesn't move my points. I also noticed that it would add a "center" node to my model in the explorer. It seems to be doing math on the numbers I enter into the fields (ie. I would type 6 in a field that was set to -4 and it would change it to 2)

I played with it for a while and figured out that the numeric entry behaved differently if I set the interface to xsi default mode. It worked as I expected it to, and continued to work properly after I switched back to modtool mode.

If I start xsi in default mode it works fine when I switch it to mod tool mode. It just behaves differently when I start it in mod tool mode.

Any ideas as to what's going on here?

I'm still experiencing this. Is this a bug or operator error?

We have tried to reproduce this internally, and to be honest, we have no clue what's going on on your side. (still looking though).

I know this won't help you recreate the problem, but I just wanted to let you XSI folks know that I have the same problem.  And thank you, the mode switching fix works for me (I am also a newbie and thought I was entering things the wrong way at first).

I have also noticed this, but i thougt I did something wrong so I just moved it manually.

Thanks for the tip, I was having a similar problem.  My problem was that typing in values would transform the center of the model (and the axis) but not the model itself.  So if I type in a translation, then perform a rotation using the UI, I'd get an offcenter rotation.  Doing the mode switch fixes this.
