XNA 2.0 Beta - Unable to Connect to 360?

I was excited to check out the 2.0 beta, but I cannot connect to my 360. I tried several times to generate keys, and I get the following error message:

Unable to Connect to your Xbox 360 console.

Here are a few things to try as well as troubleshooting information:

Initiated search on the local subnet for your Xbox 360 using the connection key you typed.

No response from your Xbox 360 (MyXbox360). Please make sure you typed the connection key exactly as it appears on the Xbox 360 console, that the Xbox 360 console is properly connected to your local subnet, and that the Xbox 360 console is waiting for a connection at the "XNA Game Studio Connect" screen.

Now, I tried several different keys, and none work. I tried entering the key first in 1.0 refresh and it works no problem. I cannot get a connection with that very same key in 2.0 Beta, or any other key I tried. Am I missing something obvious (ie do I have to download a new app for the 360 or something) or should I file a bug report?

    Thanks!

2.0 Beta isn't made for the Xbox 360, that will be added/enabled again with 2.0 retail, which should be out soon (according to XNA team).

Actually, the beta does include everything needed to develop Xbox 360 games, and is completely functional. The thing that is preventing deployment to your consoles is you don't have the corresponding XNA Game Studio Connect application on your Xbox 360. This is not available in the beta, and the XNA GS 2.0 beta does not work with XNA Game Launcher (which is the 1.0 console app).

So you would be able to deploy to your console if you had the console-side application... But that won't be available until the final release.

When we do release the final bits, make sure you download XNA Game Studio Connect to your console, or you won't be able to connect to it from XNA Game Studio 2.0.

I guess I should have checked here first...was feeling stupid I couldn't find XNA Game Studio Connect to download for my 360...I didn't see anywhere that you couldn't download it yet on here http://blogs.msdn.com/xna/archive/2007/12/03/xna-game-studio-and-the-fall-dashboard-update.aspx

But it does make sense to me now that I read this thread and remembered the beta would not work on the 360..

The only hope for me is that I was not the only one... :)

Don't worry, you're not the only one ;). I spent hours trying to fix this problem before I finally did a google search on it. (Starts uninstalling the beta and going back to 1.0).

Why are you uninstalling anything to go "back to 1.0"? You can have both 1.0 and 2.0 installed at the same time. They do not conflict with each other.

    FINALLY!

I've been doing so many different things with keys and such, playing around with router firewall settings, etc. Time to install refresh (And fix everything I just screwed around with.) It would have been nice if this was clearer, but I'm glad I found an answer. I just stayed up all night doing this... time for class (-_-)

Keep in mind that the full release of 2.0 is coming soon (no specific date), so it might be worth using 2.0 so you can get used to the API. The beta ends today so the download link will be removed at some point so if you decide you want to work with the new API (networking and the changes elsewhere), you'll have to download it before that point.
