    DBP Entry - Domination

I had to scratch my original game idea because a lot of the code cannot be given out yet for some very secretive reasons. Determined to get an entry in, I started on a game called Domination this past week. I think I started Monday and by yesterday morning I had a playable game. The problem was that it only ran on the 360 and only at 1920x1080. So I spent all day yesterday and all day today rebuilding it completely to be able to run on the PC at 1280x720...

So here it is in its current form, essentially a two day game built using some code from Thrust and the GameStateManagement sample. I have included the source code in hoping that it will help someone learn something. I still have a lot of work to do to clean it up as well as add more features. And since this project will continue past DBP2 Warmup, I would love to hear any suggestions, comments, critiques, etc.

    Thanks for checking it out!

Edit: There was a pretty big bug with users who don't have auto signin and also those who use the keyboard. I uploaded with new versions.

Are you the creator of Thrust?

Thrust must be a nice framework for you to be able to build this in a few days  :)

What all does the framework do, is it mainly for 2D games?

Nice job on both... I'll play your game a bit probably after I turn my entry in...

Thrust is my creation. It is mainly for 2D games, however a lot of the core components could be used to build a 3D game. The Thrust included in this is only a small subset of what is in the entire library. Mainly I pulled out data classes (collections with events for when items are added or removed, an Xml provider, etc) as well as the input stuff. A lot of the work was creating the code to bring all the components together to create the notion of turn based gameplay.

By the way, the game requires not only XnaLiveProxy but Windows Games for LIVE to be installed. You can get that here.
