    The Collector 2.0

Hey, a while back I posted on here about my game 'The Collector'. The demo I posted had limited play and I described some multiplayer I wanted to add.

Well, I finally got around to updating the game to xna 2.0 and thought I'd share a new demo with everyone.

    Screenshot2

In this demo you can play through all 5 modes each mode has 3 levels of increasing difficulty. The game supports up to 4 players local play.

    Modes include:

    • Single player
    • Co-op - All open (2 players)
    • Co-op - Choose colors (2 players)
    • Battle - Everyone for themselfs (2 players)
    • Battle - Teams (4 players)

    This is not yet complete!

Since I have not yet completed the color selection screen, the colors and number of players are automatically chosen for you. This will change by the next update.

In addition, the leaderboard is disabled because in game scoring is still not finalized.

Please leave feedback if you play this.

Ok, the color/player selection screen is now complete.

As you can see, the screen allows up to 4 players to join the game and select the colors they wish to collect.

If you are lacking in human players, you are allowed to set each opponent to cpu control.

So, the updated modes would be as such:

    • Single player
    • Co-op - All open (2-4 players)
    • Co-op - Choose colors (2-4 players)
    • Battle - Everyone for themselfs (2-4 players)
    • Battle - Teams (4 players)

This should about do it for the current menus, now it is on to the leaderboard screens.  After this, I plan on possibly putting out one more update and then finalizing the features and gameplay.

I was thinking of adding some bonus stages between rounds and making the singleplayer experience both longer(more levels) and more unique. I am of course looking forward to finishing up everything and submitting it to the community games when that becomes available.
