Improved XNA Creators Club Online website FAQ

The new XNA Creators Club Online website was designed to support the new demands of the community game submission process, while at the same time incorporating feedback on the general site that has been gathered from the community over many months.  The result is a website with a new look and feel, improved login and navigation, new subject areas, and a broader capacity to support community-driven interests.  The preview of this website will be released in the spring of this year, with additional features being incrementally added over the remainder of the year.

Q: Do I still have to get an Xbox gamertag to log in?

A: No.  However, you will still need to have a Windows LIVE ID in order to sign in.

Q: What new features will we see when the site first launches?

A: We will have a new profile section, organized education content by topic, user links to blogs/websites, a community section with spotlight articles focusing on key community contributors, an academic zone for faculty and students, a creators profile page, partner pages, and a working news archive.  All this backed up by a new discoverability feature to help you quickly find the content you want.

Q: I have a lot of posts and links in the forums, will they show up on the new site?

A: We will do everything possible to make sure that all the forum posts are transferred to the new site.

Q: I have a new blog/website/tutorial, can I list it on the new site?

A: Yes!  In fact, we will start offering a database of samples, games, projects, blogs, and websites offered by the community.  Our goal is to make http://creators.xna.com your “Grand Central Station” for all things related to game development.

Q: Will there be more educational content?

A: Definitely.  We add new or updated content at least once a month, just like we do on the current site.

Q: Will I still be able to show off my gamercard?

A: Yes, you can link your gamercard to your account

If people spent a minute searching the forums before posting I'd be out of a job.
