    HurricaneX V2008-02-29 (Video)

    Hello every one,

We are HurricaneX team, one of the top 20 in last DBP, how is every one going since then?

Now we have our own company and we are still and only working on this game.

Here, I'd like to share the video of our new version.

By the way: The guys in game speek a little Chinese, for exsample "去你的[tfu:ni:d]" when they push the hero away which means "*** off"

Please enjoy, and it's our please if you like that :)

Oh, if there are any suggestions , please tell me, thanks!

Looks good. I really dislike the shaking camera, but that's probably just me. It would be great if the blood effects could be a little more random is the way they spread out.

I really enjoy seeing that the tool am using is too powerfull to create such stuff although i agree that the shaking camera is not the best try to make a beam of light gets from the sky to the player instead,However GL with your game seems nice.

    Looks pretty nice.

Does your company have a web site up yet? What about screenshots, blogs, PC demo, etc.?

Also, can you enter this in the DBP for a second time or are games limited to 1 DBP entry per concept per user/team, etc.

Nobody knows since the competition has not been announced.

Of course entering a competition with the same game that didn't win the year before means that you think you know why you didn't win and have made changes to those items.

No yet, we'll do it later anyway.
We have no idea about the DBP 2. It's cool if we can enter the DBP 2 with the same entry(there must be a lot of improvement of course), but I can understand it's a little unfair to other teams. But how can this competition be abs fair anyway? So let's just wait it to be announced.

It seems the shaking camera was a serious problem which I didn’t realize before, It's already been fixed and I really appreciate your help.
And also thanks to your kindly encouragement.

Wow, Am I right in guessing you've got a Matrix Kinda control mechnism. You know buttons appearing above the NPC heads for the next sweet move. Looks like a great Action-Response game if it is.

    Thanks!

The buttons appearing above the NPC seems like GodOfWar or Konnan exactly. But it means a little different here: fallowing the instruction just helps the player to break the NPC's guard mode, but no special move . You'll bite the enemy tightly if the you can always get the instructions right in time, or the enemy may have a chance to make trouble.

The game level will glow up if you keep good performing.  Game level is related to reward and difficuty(which decide how much time limited for you to get & follow the instruction).

So it's just a game for reaction training, which ensure this game won't waste your time to play.

The Action-Response should be exlent and special, or the player's patient supposed to be low.
