The DirectX 8 add on for Visual Basic 6 was a very special solution and doesn’t work for newer versions anymore.
You should have a look at the new Game Studio. It is sing C# instead of Visual Basic but it should be so hard to understand.
DirectX 8 Issue

Hey I'm back after a long time of exile from the game developing community largely because of my inexperience, but anyways I have a question. I am reading a book called Visual Basic Game Programming For Teens the author is using Visual Basic 6 and I have 2008 but I heard you could use 08 for it. Gosh I get off tracks so easily. Okay I'm going to focus. It says I need DirectX 8 and to add it as a reference. I downloaded it (I think) but when I click add reference DirectX 8 is not there. Can anyone tell me why and how to fix the problem?
