Well I've not received any email like that. Hope they haven't completely inverted the mailing list and none of the finalists got it but everyone else who entered has.

I'm not a finalist (certainly not on DBP website), but I just got an email from Dave Mitchell... If I wasn't bummed enough about not making the cut (I was just finishing the therapy :D ), this email rubs it in nicely! Ah don't ya just love joined up PR (!)...

Congratulations on your selection as Dream-Build-Play Finalists as listed publicly on http://dreambuildplay.com! You worked hard on your games and it really showed through in impressing not only the judges but also the entire community. I realize these next few days are going to be some of the more difficult for all of you as anticipation on the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd prize placements mounts. We are planning to demonstrate a few of the games as part of the keynote on Monday morning. As such, we’d like to know who will be attending so that we can give you a “local” shout out vs. one on our webcast. I would appreciate it if all of you could let me know directly here if you are planning on attending.

Congrats to all the finalists and the runners up!

I am so happy that my little game Chaos made the list. My 'molecular simulation' does not have any 'joint animated characters', so i am very lucky that the judges did not require such features!

By the way, did any of the finalist teams get email notification from microsoft at this time?

Erm just for info sake, our game enviroment is fully 3D as are all the models in the game, so its not just HurricaneX ;)

Congrats to all who made the top 20. With the amount of time and effort spent you should enjoy the props.

As to seeing the marks games got, I think it's important to remember that there were several categories, so just because your game might have excelled at one, it might have gotten hurt in another category, so it would be hard to compare between the games. That said if someone at MS wanted to kill some time and email back the final tally to the authors that would be cool.

Really excited that our HurricaneX made it!

We wish we could go there to hear the final result and celebrate with you all.

But the remaining one week is just too short for us to apply for visa.

I'm a bit bummed mine didn't make it in...wonder if something went wrong with the submission...or if they just didn't understand the gameplay.
