You might be better off waiting until MS provides a way to deploy games to the Zune without the end-user having to compile them themselves...

Of course you need to determine which will fit your computer. It sounds like its pretty old so you need to find out what kind of graphics card connector you have.

Intel chips like that come mounted on the motherboard. If you have a AGP or PCIe slot on your computer you can probbly guy a cheap card which will run XNA and in the BIOS disable the on board one.

The reason you need a DX9 card is becuase the content processors use DirectX 9 to do their graphics conversion even for the zune. Sure they could have coded out tht dependency but remember XNA is a developer tool and the number of developers with this old a graphics card are too small to worry about.

Its an "INTEL", generally means its not by Microsoft ;-)

You can find the latest drivers here http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-003951.htm and also it says that while its compatibile with DirectX not all features are availalbe. Bottom line you have a very old graphics card and need to upgrade.

Here's your answer!

Re: help im new & every time i deploy....

it not the driver i just updated it & i have no idea were my video card is...

Is the video card part of the motherboard (on-board video), or did you purchase a video card for the computer?

From what you've told us, the video card that you're using just isn't up to what is needed for what you want to do.

Now, you may be wondering, what on earth does that have to do with anything if I'm developing for the Zune.

That is a very good question, and I'm sure better answered by what I consider greatly more knowledgable people like Z-Man or Mykre.

So, let's recap. You need a better video card, or updated drivers or both?

BoomerET

Whoever makes that graphics card then go to their website and find the latest drivers for your card.

XNA Game Studio will have already installed all the parts of DirectX that it needs. The likley problem is that your graphics card is not Direct( compatible. But if you really want to be up to date then run the web installer from here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en
