Team Name
Si-Fi Media
Project Code Name:
Robotic
To begin, this is a paid position and this posting was created by the owner and founder of Si-Fi Media. We are a very small, close-knit group of individuals with experience in music production. From day 1, the goal of the company was to expand into other media forms, and we feel that gaming is the perfect medium for users to interact with and consume fantastic music. The individual developer or coding team, which we suspect will consist of no more than 5 members, will be paid on a milestone basis.
The game will be a rhythm-based arcade-styled music game with a deep character-creation system developed from scratch. Accessory system for user-created characters will be extensive with clothing add-ons, etc. Single and multiplayer modes will allow gamers to complete a solo campaign or challenge users online. The game engine must be able to adapt to new music content and integrate it into the single-player and off-line modes.
If you are a solo coder or a small two or three-man team who can complete an XNA gaming project within 7 months, then we are interested in you. The responsibilities will include creating all 3D models, game art, textures, and then integrating all content (including audio) into the game engine. Tightly blended animation will be a very important aspect of this project. It is imperative that the prospective coder have animation and art work samples before we can give them full consideration. All audio and sound production will be handled by a separate team, but it will be up to this coder to integrate all content into the game. All graphical-user-interface elements will be handled by a separate team as well.
Upon contacting us, we will describe the project in great detail, hammer out the expected duties, setup the milestone/payment schedule, and require users to sign an NDA before accepting the work.
In your follow-up email, be sure to include your name, location, sample work links or attachments, and your interest in the project.
