    I hope you mean C# - C won't work with XNA ;-)

We have an FAQ full of useful information - see Help I'm New

    You just install it.

Then when you create a new project and look you will see XNA templates to choose from. There are a couple of extra menu items for connecting to an Xbox and generating Xbox projects from Windows projects but think of XNA Game Studio as some add-ins for Visual studio.

XNA Game Studio will only work with C# projects - did you read the FAQ I linked you to?

FAQ : Can I use XNA GS with other languages like VB.Net?

(maybe you should read through all the FAQs!)
