3D importers?

    3D importers?

    Are there any 3D importer projects out there for XNA?

    I want to look into get different formats supported since my graphics tool of choice doesn't handle the the current formats well (or at all).

    You may be more likely to get assistance if you were to state what your graphics tool of choice is.

    Well I am using XSI mod tool. Although I think it might be worth mentioning any importers at this point for anyone else who maybe looking for other options.

    I didn't look closely enough to see if they came up with a definitive solution, but it's worth checking out.

    Yeah I have read that post before and made a post regarding any information about any new releases or new support for the mod tool with XNA (which can be found here: http://creators.xna.com/forums/thread/6462.aspx). Also I posted on the XSI forum which  can be found at this link : http://forum.softimage.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8540

    Also I think someone said the .x format doesn't support animation. Is this true?

    As far as other importers I saw someone working on a Quake 3 library for handling Q3 content formats. That might be useful if I export to another package and then save the files out. Has anyone been working on a .smd importer maybe?
