    Game Programing?

So I Have Been Trying To Learn C# Through Books And Online Tutorials But Nothing I Have Done Seems To Relate To GAME Programing. Should I Just Keep Going Or Are There  Separate Books That Teach How To Program A Game? Or Is There Something Big That I Am Just Not Getting? I Am A Little Confused Right Now And Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

    Re: Game Programing?

Learning C#, programming and game programming all at the same time can be a lot for some people and very easy for otehrs. But in general its best to learn some C# and programming without worrying about game stuff.

Most of the DirectX or XNA GS books assume you can already program in C# or C++ so they won't teach that. So yes there are books that just teach game programming - in fact most of them are just that.

I guess I have to lift my (imaginary) hat for The ZMan for answering a post written in title case :)

Alright Thank Very Much For Your Reply. What Is A Book That Would Be Good To Read Once I Get Some C# And Programing Skills?

Also What Is Title Case Lol?

There's a good list of the XNA books here: http://forums.xna.com/forums/p/1628/8135.aspx#8135.

And title case is what you are doing by capitalizing the first letter of each word. It's frankly very hard to read for some people (myself included).

Oh ok sorry the only reason I do it is for practice so I can get quicker at typing code. Thank you for the link.

Using public (or really any) forum for typing practices is annoying at best and insulting at worst. Either case does not help you getting your help faster - if at all :)
