After my game passed review, the size increased from 20mb to 49mb, Why?

Hello,  I wrote Biology Battle, a game that is currently on the Community Games Beta  (anyone can download it)

If you download and try the game (please do!), you will see the size of the download is 49MB.

The .CCGame i uploaded was 20MB.   And people who downloaded the .CCGAME for review said it was also 20mb.

So my question:   Why was the size of my game increased by an extra 29MB?  (increasing the size of my game x2.5 times).

And more seriously, if I optimize one of my future games to have a .CCGAME of 49 MB (in order to use the 200 Point price), will any potential resizing that Microsoft does after my submission effect my ability to use the 200 point price?  (For those that dont know, only games under 50MB can sell for 200 points)

    Thank you for the responses,

     -Jason

I guess a follow up question to this would be:  Is "game size" computed from the size of the .CCGAME submitted, or the size of the game after install/extract on an xbox?  (IE: uncompressed).

That would answer my question too, though if that's the case, perhaps there is room for "cheating" by compressing internally, and extracting on first-launch of the game...

I'm 99% sure it's the compressed CCGAME size, not the extracted size.

I had the same issue with Little Gamers. IIRC my .ccgame was only 16MB, and I think that the current version on CC is around 50MB.

It is the CCGame file size that we care about. The size increase is primarly to chunk up the game so that if the download interupts midway then the download can be restarted

Compression in 3.0 solves a lot of these problems though and is definately recommended!
