Wierd Animation FBX XNA how do u fix fbx 3ds xna incorrect rotation and crazy transformation

everytime i export my model from 3ds to XNA fbx format my model gets real funky.  ive reset xform on the mesh and ihave reboned it a few times.  prett sure i didnt scale any bones, in bone edit mode or anything else.  if i move the arm or leg at all it jumps forward plus the arm is rotated backward from the get go.  Ive even put a reset xform on all my bones + mesh.  Same error.  I remember having the same problem with my mesh dream build play 1 but cant remember how to fix it.

thing is my wings work fine.  its the arms that mess up.  arms are connected to neck just like wings.  if u had the problem u know what im takling bout

I Looked at y old file turns out i fixed it by splitting up the mesh into sub parts andkeeping skeleton intact.  I need another solution.

Im not bumping my post just informing you guys.  I think the suspect party are pivots.  Unfortunately rotating them after you make them in 3ds 2009 is hard becaus3e even t hough I hit affect pivot only, movingth epivot still moves the bones.  The fix was to make sure you draw all bones in same viewport that way they will all have the z facing same direction.  I will see if it fixes it.

Either the exporter you're using is wrong (are you sure you're using the latest version?), or the code you're using to draw the mesh is wrong.

thanks for reply.  im using fbx 2009.0 even tho i downloaded 2009.1 thing.  it says 2009.1 on the exporter dialog but i cant select it in type of file.  code is skinningsample.  it shows up fine if i dont do any animation or just move head.  I also think it has something to do with root  as my head is my root right now imma add a root node.

    It appears that you must

rotate/translate evry bone on the way to getting to the bone you want to rotate/move

is that someone else's estimation?   otherwise its like the  bones your moving have no reference ? anyway that fixed it i believe.  and i do beileve it is rotate and move not just rotate or move.

ok notice how one wing deforms right and other one deforms backward even tho in max it is correct.  one's y piviot points up one points down.  iassume thats what happened.
