Hello,
Ok here's my scoop. I'm interested in helping someone with a game project. Here is my background:
* Worked for Uplink Studios on a contract based SCI-FI action flight sim for 2 years. Project was postponed, I decided to pursue other things.
* Worked on a few Open Source games, only one still going is ww.Peragro.nl
* Currently work for www.raceramps.com as computer technician and media / product designer
Here’s what I want to work on.
I’ve worked with several of those projects that seem great for a while, but then they die out. I’ve worked on project where there were a dedicated few who plugged away at it, and after 4 years managed to get a demo out.
Every single project I have ever worked never had a professional organization to it. People did what they want went they felt like it, and there was very poor hierarchy and structure.
I work full time, have a girlfriend, and take some school classes. I don’t have a massive amount of time, so I only want to help on a project that has a lot of structure and is dedicated. I don’t want to lead in anyway, but I want to make sure someone is consistently leading. I don’t really care what type of project it is, though naturally some are more attractive then others. I just want to see forward progress, and professional leadership. I just want to contribute as I can. I’m no big professional, I just like games and want to give a hand.
Maya and Photoshop are the programs I use.
