    Does anyone know where I can get Xbox 360 sound effects from such as a button press on the pad, I managed to download the achievements unlock sound but had no luck finding any others?  Thanks.

    I would say that aside from recording it yourself from your television, I'm not sure there's any other legal way of obtaining those.  And I might even venture to say that I'm not sure you are licensed to use those sounds ... even if you record them yourself.

    methinks it better to just come up with your own sounds.

    Thanks for your response Joel, the reason I asked was because Major Nelson made the achivements sound effect downloadable from his blog, I wondered whether Mircosoft had / were making these available for use with XNA?

    As an employee of Microsoft, this is the only license he has given you:
    Edit: This is for non-commercial, personal use only!

    This is likely a one-off situation, and I doubt that they'll make a habit of providing these things :-)

    Major has released those mainly for fun, not to be used in commercial products or reproduced.. He also released some sound effects from Crackdown. If you do want somthing of the same I would suggest recording your own effects that imitate those sounds... then you are covered if someone comes looking.
