Insane Game 3 - video and ccgame

I just managed to submit my entry before the site shut down.  I feel sorry for those who were a little too late, I had the same problem last year with uploads going awry :/

Anyway, the game is a multiplayer top down shooter with lots of bullet dodging and crazy effects.

My main inspiration is the incredible freeware game "Liero", so fans should notice a similar style of play - mixing fast paced low level aiming and bullet dodging with higher level positioning/standoffs and weapon tactics in a fully destructable environment :)

Each round is very short - maybe a couple of minutes max, and is a last man standing dance of death in a spaced out arena with black holes, procedural terrain, powerups and random game mutators to further spice things up.

Insane Game 3 is a great party game for 2-4 players, and is surprisingly addictive (I sent it to a guy just to make sure it worked the night of the deadline.  Later on I get a message saying they ended up playing >100 rounds with a flatmate - that's over an hour solid in one session!).

The controls have been kept as simple and familiar as possible (the two analogue sticks a-la-geometry wars) to try and make it as easy to pick up as possible, which still offering a lot to experienced players.

The video I made in the last 30 minutes that completely fails to show the gameplay is here: Insane Game 3 trailer

The game itself can be downloaded here as the submitted zip (screenshots, synopsis and ccgame): Insane Game 3

    Hey Duncan!

Glad you got this in, I remember you giving us a demo at the last XNA-UK meet, it looked great fun then and that was in early stages, god know how good it will be now, can't wait to play it!

    Great Job!
