    Schedule Live testing for playtest/review

Developers! If you would like to have your game tested on Live multiplayer and it is currently in playtest or peer review, please post times here (including timezone ex. EDT). I'm sure people would be willing to help test, but they just need to know times. Including me.

I have set Golden Royal Blackjack to run on the Xbox. It can be joined and played whether the host is there or not. I will check it throughout the day ( Saturday 3 January 2009 ) and play if someone is there. Keep in mind that I am on Pacific Standard Time. :)

    Thanks,

This worked really well, I highly recommend doing this. Not only did we find bugs in Version 1.2, we even found bugs from 1.0 that were never caught. It tied the Xbox up for two days but was sooo worth it. Also keep in mind that you can even chat with the developer testing over LIVE which was really cool.

A Game of Tennis - the online Scoreboards need to be tested. I will keep my Xbox running today, so if anyone plays a Ranked Game in Single Player, I will be able to see your scores and vice versa. Hopefully. (this feature hasn't yet been tested) :-)

I'm on EST though, and I'll post here when I have to shut my console down (so no one thinks it's a bug that they can't see me).
Also, be sure you're running Release 6 of my game, or this may not work.

[edit]: Please post in the main game thread if you do play, so I'll know if anyone tried it in case the Scoreboards doesn't work.

    Thanks for testing!

Re: Schedule Live testing for playtest/review

Well, I have to shut down my console now.. Either no one played my game today, or the scoreboards aren't working. This is harder than I though to coordinate. It's too bad I can't test this here...

Maybe we could try it this way: Playtesters, please post in my game's thread with a time that you will be able to play my game. I will try to have my console on at that time. Keep in mind I'm on EST.

    Thanks for testing!

    Valhyre playtest

Valhyre will be playtested tonight January 7th 2009 at 9pm CST till 10pm

Just use the find match function in the game to find one of the matches that will be available.  The multiplayer and network ability need to stress tested.

Re: Schedule Live testing for playtest/review

    Hello everyone,

I would really like to stress the network portion of my game, Valhyre, and as such will be doing a Live Multiplayer playtest tonight January 12, 2009 at 9pm CST.  Down load the ccgame from the playtest listing and use the find match function. Starting at 9pm a match will be available to join, if you cant find a game, try again in a few minutes as each match lasts for aproximately 15minutes  and it takes a couple of minutes for a match to start.

I hope to see you there.  We are looking for 8 clients to connect to the matches and there should be 2 or 3 matches ongoing at any given time.

    Thank you.

    Greetings,

We will have the newest version ( 1.3 ) of Golden Royal Blackjack running all day Saturday 24 January 2009 if any one wants to play online with us. Please note that we are in Pacific Standard Time. The game will be running before we are available though, if you want to join anyway without us there.

BTW the only important bug fix was chips/ranks lost when the host changes.

    Thanks,

    Greetings,

We will be hosting Slottso Party from 4 PM PST until 7 PM PST on Tuesday 3 February 2009, for anyone who would like to try the online game. The game is in Play Test, not in Peer Review. Of course we will be doing the larger time period test when it is in Peer Review, but we would like to get some feedback on the online play before that point.

As always, thanks for your help and support,

Our game, Zoomaroom, has just entered Play Testing.

We are planning to be online for a Networking stress test later this week.

Please meet us online Wednesday 2/11/09 at 9pm EST / 6pm PST.  Just press "Y" while you are playing Zoomaroom to join a lobby (if nobody else has a lobby it will create one for you).

This will also be a great time to get feedback from you guys through voice communications which is a lot more immediate than forum posts.

look for FourBrosStudio, GamerTagForSale, GuyNamedNate, TWangly, and SFurtwangler in the Zoomaroom lobby at 9pm EST on 2/11/09!

Re: Schedule Live testing for playtest/review

    Greetings,

First, thanks to everyone who played today.

Second, sadly we had to pull the game from review. Two minor glitches were found in today's session. One thing we have learned from Blackjack is that even a minor glitch is a big problem once released. We hated to pull it after 75% complete but between the two problems the game just didn't play correctly.

Thank you for continued support, and we are really sorry we had to submit again. Unfortunately the game is much more complex than it looks and these minor issues escaped Play Test.

We are going to run the game again tomorrow 12 February 2009 from 12 Noon to 2 PM PST, and from 3 PM to 6 PM PST. If you would like to play with us and can't make it at either of those times, leave a message or email and we'll set something up for you.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

While Classicard is in peer review we will be running 1-2 servers 24/7 (or close to) so feel free to give it a go.

I will be holding network game testing of Carrum on wednesday this week - that's 11th March '09 - from 3pm GMT onward (Universal is just as good).  My Live gamertag is the same as my forum name.  Will be testing 2- and 4-player games and taking general on-line feedback.  Look forward to seeing (hearing?) anyone online.

    Regards,
    Mike

Awesome Tank is currently in Peer Review. If anyone wants to test the online components, please post times you're available in it's thread here. I'm available most times during the day, but late at night doesn't work well for me. I'm on EST.

    Thanks!

Sweep for Mines is currently in review, everyone can test multiplayer at any time in the following seven days just by loading the game. The leaderboard component of the game needs to be stress tested so if possible please test the game at 8 PM Eastern, otherwise I will be content with any other time. Thanks. I would post a link to the playtest forum but IE8 seems to not want to cooperate with anything on this site.

Chinese Checkers Deluxe is currently in test, and I'd love to get some MP testing in there.  If anyone wants to get on around 2 PM CST (I will also be here throughout the day as well, if anyone is wanting to connect and test), that would be great.  There are two MP modes, classic and combo.  When joining, you can choose to join "ANY" game type though, which should help find games easier.  Hope to see some people there!

I have resubmitted tictactoe to playtest and would like to get the online testing done. The game is currently in progress but I would like to test it as soon as it it through again.

And to reggie above, I checked playtest for your game and didn't see it listed there. I will check back later.

    Hey Aztec,

I should have it out tonight.  I'm about to do some initial testing with another developer to make sure there aren't any obvious problems.  If you want to do an online test tonight, just let me know what time and we can test both of our games in one session.

    Thanks,
    Reg

    Sounds like a plan.
Um, any time until 8:00pm central or after 10:00pm central is good for me today. And most of the day tomorrow is also fine too.

Re: Schedule Live testing for playtest/review

Let's shoot for tomorrow then if that's ok.  I just finished up our first run through and things went real well but there are a few things I want to fix and with the 1-2 hour In Process time, it's going to be really hard to be ready tonight.  I'm available all day but after lunch would be a little better for me.  If you don't have a preference, I'll throw out 3PM EST which would be 2PM your time if I have the time zones correct.  Just let me know as I'm completely open tomorrow.

    Thanks,
    Reggie
