    `To Do List` In Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition 2008 ?

    Is there a  `To Do List` In Microsoft Visual C# Express Edition 2008 (Or something similar)?

    Basically a way of reminding myself what I need to being doing next on my project .

    Thanks

    I put "to do list" and "visual studio" into google and found this.

    Pretty neat feature. Definitely going to make use of it in the future.

    ..but thats not express I dont think.

    I used express for a while then moved to professional, and thats the first time I noticed the built in to-do list.If it is missing from the express edition, my adivce is to download the free visual studio pro trial. It lasts for 3 months, plenty of time to see if you like it enough to upgrade. If not, its still 3 months worth of a £700 product for free :)

    I favor a text file in Notepad. Over time I've developed quite an intricate system of symbols to remind myself of the importance, status, and dependencies of my current project. For example:
     Foo
    means an open task,
    X Foo means the task is completed,
    - Foo means something I decided against doing,
    ? Foo means I need to look something up related to it or ask a question
    # Foo means something I technically couldn't do without way more effort than it's worth.
     Foo
     {
       foo
       foo
     }
    is for dependencies or really big tasks that can be split up smaller.
    etc.

    Not quite as cool as the method mentioned above, but it's cheaper.
    "Software is never finished, it is in varying states of 'less broken'" because "If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet"
    The signature that was too big for the 512 char limit

    There is a task list in VCSharp 2008 Express you can use to an extent.  It's setup by default to add any code comments marked with TODO to its list.  This is configurable in the options somewhere.  The list itself should be accessible via View. (At work, don't have it in front of me)

    You can also use the #warning (or #error) directives in your code to generate compiler warnings/errors. If you want it to be really visible...
