Xbox LIVE is down?

    With an hour and a half left for DBP, I was finalizing my game and then BANG... I was signed out of Xbox LIVE making XNA Game Studio Connect useless! This page says

    Users may experience difficulties with the following services:

    • Signing into Xbox LIVE from an Xbox console

    What should I do?  I was removing the last bugs from my game and now I can't test it.

    Can you test it on your PC?  Not quite the same, but better than nothing.

    Also, it can take quite awhile to upload everything so you may want to get started well before midnight Central Time.

    The problem is that something is slowing the game down to ~5 fps when a certain enemy comes.  On my PC it can run at ~40 fps all the time so I can't really test it.

    Right.  I still haven't uploaded a trailer either.

    (sigh) Well, this is what I get for working till the bell. I made a lot of changes in the last seven hours, which is how long its been since I tested the 360 build. I have to PRAY I didn't break something. = (

    Oh well.

    Yeah me too, I got disconnected from XBOX Live :(!

    A read a message (while trying to test the xbox live connection) saying that they are aware of the problem and they are working on it now!

    They are probably inundated with dbp entries =)

    That actually happens at our school.  We have an upload server of sorts that some instructors use for assignments.  A lot of folks wait til the last minute and have major issues getting thier assignments to upload on time.

    The few people doing last minute testing to their DBP entries is a miniscule blip on the XBL traffic and the DBP site has no connection. Seems like some issues with XBL in general.

    xbox.com says it's back.  I haven't tried to sign in yet.  It's about 20 minutes too late for DBP.  Maybe I'll see if what I submitted actually works.
