How do you implement user-drawn pictures?

    Hey everyone--
I have a little bit of my game started but I'm still kind of a newbie, and frankly I have no idea where to start this.

I want to have one of my screens to display a window where the player can draw something (like a pencil tool).  Then when they're done drawing I want to save what's in the window as a .PNG (or any other image file) in my Content folder to be used in the game.
Please help and Thank You for any responses!

the content folder is read-only; however, i believe you can save the "picture" to the users harddrive and retrieve it for later use.
