    Framework release cycle

So, September and November slip by without mention of a new beta of the framework. Is Santa not going to be delivering something new to play with this Christmas holiday season?!

Nothing has been announced. Personally, I think the framework is mature enough that it doesn't require a bi-annual release cycle anymore, but who knows what they come up with next...

Besides, we had two releases this year :P (3.1 and 3.1 Zune HD Extensions)... Joking :)

We've got a new release of Visual Studio due out in March. If they have new bits, they'll probably try to make it compatible with VS 2010, which means no new stuff until after March.

Hm, is 3.1 final yet? Seems a bit weird to wait for VS2010 to relase that one…

…and we all love the Zune!!1
We are boki. The rest is known.

The not so known part of the rest: It is Björn or Bjoern, but never Bjorn.

Hm, for some reason that remains unknown I thought it was still beta…

Heh. I know it's problematic keeping up with technology, but that's just too funny!

I agree as an Xbox/DirectX API it is reaching some degree of maturity, but I'd like to see boundaries pushed - for instance adding middleware, such as a native physics library. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
