    DBP Entry - Tank Game

Here is a youtube video of the game I'm working on, and entering into DBP 2.0 warmup contest.  It doesn't have a name yet, so if anyone has any ideas... I can't think of a good one for the life of me :)

The focus of the game is the control you have over your ally tanks, alongside some 3rd person action.

Wow, this is amazing. Did you put that together in the 7 weeks of the contest? How much of the assets did you have already? I love the cartoon looks of it!

    That is really impressive.

    haha, thanks....

I didn't notice the new competition, DBP 2.0 warmup, until 3 weeks ago, but I put this together in that time based upon a simple framework engine that already existed from other XNA games I've made.  I also made the assets in that time as well, based on some drawings of a friend of mine (Except for explosions and smoke, which I had already made for other games).

As for the cartoon look, it's almost identical to the technique in one of those XNA samples, but i also went for a "realistic" lighting look, which is an interesting combo.

The work I still have to do is rather substantial :(, mostly AI and balancing, so I hope my classes this week (I'm a college freshmen) won't kill me too much.

Very nice. I would like to point out your crosshair. Very well done nothing in the way but the target. I have seen a lot of games where the crosshair is bigger then the target. Good job :)
